However authorities are also concerned about the misuse of this campaign as so many people comment against it and also found fake cases on men.
There have been attempts to teach India women about workplace rights and safe reporting, as well as educate men about the scope of the problem. In 2012 people linked “Me too” to a social movement which followed a violent gang rape in Delhi that later resulted in a woman’s death, which followed caused the Indian govt. to institute harsher punishment for rape. We can take another example when it was mass sexual assaults during the 2018 years celebration in Bangluru, which was associated with “#Me too” the incidents were initially dismissal by the police until someone uploaded CCTV footage of the assaults to social media. Govt. official came under fire for starting “western” women clothing and values were the cause of the rapes, and indicated women families should not allow them to go to parties or major celebrations.

The women dignity and empowerments cannot place by itself, on equal footing with men; the need of hour is the change of social attitude towards women. Thus a change of social attitude and honesty [on the part of govt.] is must to take the women participation in the nation building at grass root level.
Swami Vivekananda has rightly quoted “There is no chance for the welfare of world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly on only one wing”
