Hasan Ali talks about Pakistan’s advantages
Even though the whole series is going to be a nerve-racking delight, it is the India Vs Pakistan match that has got us jumping out of our seats. Our Team India, also the defending champions, will play against Pakistan on September 19. Pakistan’s pacer Hasan Ali even though wary of some Indian players, according to a report by NDTV, feels that the conditions are in favor of Pakistan.
With Virat Kohli rested for the Asia Cup, Ali feels it will play to their advantage. Moreover, Ali believes that the familiar pitch conditions will give them the upper hand. After Pakistan’s huge win in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Team India will play under pressure or so says Hasan Ali.
Hong Kong joins Group A
Beating 5 teams – Nepal, Oman, Malaysia, Singapore, and the UAE, in the Qualifiers series, Hong Kong finally made it to the playing 6 of the Asia Cup 2018. The team faced the United Arab Emirates in the finals of the qualifiers and the latter put up a great fight but it wasn’t enough. Hong Kong, thus, joined Group A and will be playing against Pakistan on September 16.
Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal injured
Bangladesh’s opener, Tamim Iqbal would probably be sitting out in the first match of Asia Cup 2018, thanks to a finger injury. Bangladesh is set to kick off the tournament on September 15 playing against Sri Lanka. Even though the team is hoping that Tamim would be able to play, they aren’t taking any chances as they added Mominul Haque as a replacement.
If the opener, Tamim Iqbal, do end up not playing, it will be a setback for Team Bangladesh. Tamim is not the only injured player on the team. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has expressed fitness concerns, putting a surgery on hold for the Asia Cup.

Brett Lee points out two key Indian players – Sharma and Dhawan
Australian veteran, Brett Lee recently in a statement talked about Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan as two Key players of Team India. With Kohli rested, he believes, Sharma with the extra responsibility to lead, will bring his best game. Lee added that the tracks in the UAE will suit both Sharma and Dhawan, even though the latter might need to adjust his techniques a bit. Rohit Sharma is captaining Team India for Asia Cup 2018 with Shikhar Dhawan as his Vice-Captain.
