After so long, the most awaited scheme has come in action. The government of Delhi introduced the “Home Delivery of Public Services”. This scheme is launched to reduce corruption at some level in public related offices.
In this scheme, the people of Delhi can collect their main documents like ration card, domicile and income certificates, passport, caste insurance, driving license, transferring of vehicles and RCs, connection for water and drainage system, pensions etc. These documents you can get at home through courier without standing in queue for long days.
Delhi government has settled 58 locations across Delhi. The chief minister of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal commented that the government machinery was undergoing through this revolutionary change. This day is not the only history for Delhi. Later this unparalleled step would be by followed at international level.
Earlier, the calls were made only for delivery of pizza and burger. But now after this scheme, person can ring up for the documentary to the government officials. This scheme will be very beneficial for the people of Delhi, as it will save time because as you know standing in a queue takes whole day. After this courier facility, people may start boasting for completion of their work in a very short duration of time.
According to the government, this scheme will neglect the personal interaction from the officials and also the involvement of boastings. This scheme is to ensure people to get their documents on time, who are actually needy. This idea for this launching was given by Mr. Gopal Mohan; he is the adviser of CM. He said that all records for delivery of documents would be mentioned day by day.
This launching claimed as it is for the first time in world, that the courier services will be provided by the government. In November 2017, this scheme was approved by cabinet, but 2 months ago, had to wait for lieutenant governor Mr. Anil Baijal’s approval because, government of AAP claim that BJP was trying to brake this scheme by LG. But the approval has been sent back for reconsideration, it also led to an argument because this scheme will be helpful for public, as it will save time, reduce corruption and wrong behavior, safety regarding personal documentation and it will also control the unnecessary expenditure on people and government as well.
Around 35 services were pointed out online already and were being offered in phase1. The AAP government argued that through this courier, people are suffering a lot and were standing in long queues for long hours.
Kejriwal said, ‘within 3 months the government would provide 100 services’ on Monday and they are also planning for dropping of ration to doorsteps. One private company-VFS Global Company is being hired by government for this doorstep services.
Approx 12Crore has been spent on this scheme. There is a call centre no.1076, for fixing up the appointment for any service and details of the document required. For the delivery, a mobile Sahayak will come to applicant’s house; he will fill the form, collect the document, take his/her picture and details and will submit the application with Rs 50. The applicants will get updates to their registered mobile numbers. Six mobile Sahayak are there for 11 districts. Total 66 mobile Sahayak have been verified by police.
This scheme is only for Monday till 10pm in the evening. The call no.1076 will be operated 24*7, 365 days. 40 services are currently available and 60 more to be added after 2 months.
